Ultra-high-pressure fuel injection deliver the flat torque curve, combined with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).
With the drive to cleaner engines, UD Trucks selected SCR rather than exhaust gas recirculation due to improved fuel economy; lowering greenhouse gas emissions; delivering increase in engine life and extending the intervals between engine oil drainage.
Cabin Simplicity
The cab of the Quon GW 26 420 and GK 17 420 are idea for purpose – the driver with a day of multiple jobs, loading and unloading, interspersed with reasonably heavy traffic interludes.
Good cabin ergonomics with easy reach for all required controls and good visibility with mirrors providing great view back and front. The foot brake and throttle are well positioned on the floor.
The 6X4 GW is extremely quiet on the road, available in two wheelbases and well suited to construction and building applications, prime mover and single trailer configurations, tipper or tipper and dog and vehicle transport usage.
The 4x2 GK is a metro workhorse for general freight applications.
