The steering features a fully adjustable tilt and telescopic functionality to cater for many driving positions for increased driver comfort. Moving across the cabin is made easy with the collapsible shift lever. Large fuel capacity increases productivity with less time spent filling up the tank.
The onboard technology is amazing with as many as three reversing cameras on some models, all with night vision capability and a microphone on the main camera; an advanced multimedia system with Bluetooth and hands-free connectivity for staying in touch and staying safe; and the instrument panel is designed for easy display reading from many angles under all light conditions.
On the outside, aerodynamic styling increases fuel efficiency as well as appearance, wide view pillars enhance visibility as does the wide flat mirrors which are heated and electronically adjustable.
Power Up
The 300 series has a range of engine options, the most popular being the Hino 4 Litre Diesel which is turbo intercooled and Euro 5 and EEV emission standards. The Hino 5 Litre Diesel engine as is a 4 litre diesel-electric hybrid.
Hino claim to offer the widest selection of transmissions in the light duty truck class. Transmission choices include 5 and 6 speed manual, Proshift 5 automated manual and the optional true clutchless 6 speed automatic.
Safety: Priority
Safety is a priority for Hino as shown in their introduction of VSC into the Australian market. The 300 series also features anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution, dual air bags and front underrun protection.
